This amazing wine, like our Mundana, is produced from late-harvested Blaufränkisch grapes which are full of natural grape sugars and undergo only a short maceration period (skins and juice together during fermentation), resulting in a soft red with very low tannins. This grape variety is a direct relative of the Pinot Noir and Gamay and was first documented in the 18th century in Austria. It needs a warm environment to fully mature, hence this ideal location of the Pannonian Plain.
These two aspects of wine production combine to produce a hugely popular wine, that is easy drinking and fruity, can be served chilled and is known as a red wine for white wine drinkers.
Bor Forras is a luscious red wine with summer fruit flavours of cherries, strawberries and raspberries.

A luscious red wine with summer fruit flavours of cherries, strawberries and raspberries
Hajós-Baja is in southern Hungary, centred around the two towns of Hajós and Baja. It lies on the eastern side of the Danube River, just across from the famous Szekszard wine region. For centuries Baja was a key trading centre of southern Hungary— in the 16th, 17th and 18th Centuries grain and wine from the plains was shipped from the town, up the Danube to Austria and Germany. The Alfold climate leans towards a continental one — hot, dry summers and cold, bitter winters. This variation in temperatures has a significant impact on a grape's ripening pattern; the heat of the day promotes sugar accumulation, while the cooler night-time temperatures preserve acidity levels (this is called the diurnal temperature variation).
Try serving it chilled with spicy foods, fruit desserts or soft cheeses.
