Burg Layer Schlosskapelle Riesling Auslese is a sweet German white wine from the Nahe region, showing an inviting golden-yellow colour. Its bouquet is harmoniously fruit-driven, while the palate offers generous fruitiness and pronounced sweetness. Medium acidity provides welcome structure and balance, keeping the rich profile composed and approachable. A medium body gives the wine a rounded, smooth mouthfeel and a lingering sweet impression.

This Riesling Auslese is an excellent companion to fruit-based desserts, mild blue cheese, delicate pâté or spicy Asian dishes. It can also be enjoyed on its own as a satisfying end to a meal. Serve at 8–10°C to bring out its balance of fruit, sweetness and freshness.
The Pieroth Blue Edition occupies a special role in the Heritage Line. The unique blue bottle reflects an interesting historical aspect of the Nahe – the home region of Pieroth. During times when the glass was formed locally, the bottles took on a bluish-green colour. This was due to the mineral element in the local sand – primarily Cobalt. This unusual glass colour gave the wine bottles of the Nahe region a differentiating feature even back then. Pieroth embraced the idea in 1976, commissioning a royal blue bottle that has become a classic and a symbol of Pieroth in many countries.
