We are pleased to introduce the Cagnina di Romagna, a soft, sweet red wine that is low in alcohol, low in acidity and beautiful to drink.
This wine has been made in the region for more than 700 years and while it managed to be a well-kept secret for so long, the word is out!
Made from the Terrano grape, Cagnina is made by stopping fermentation before all the grape sugar has been converted to alcohol, leaving behind some natural sweetness and a low percentage in alcohol.
Fresh and light, it is meant for immediate enjoyment.

A soft, sweet red wine that is low in alcohol, low in acidity and beautiful to drink
Emilia-Romagna is one of Italy’s oldest wine regions dating back to 7th century BC. Vines were introduced here by the Etruscans and later adopted by the Romans, who used the Via Aemilia Road (after which the region is named) to transport wine between its cities. Romagna is located north of Tuscany and is part of a larger region, Emilia-Romagna, located on the northern peninsula of Italy, of which Bologna is the capital city. The region is often mentioned as a whole but the wines of this region come from two distinct areas.
Great with cake and desserts.
