When poured into a glass, this salmon coloured wine hints at the secrets that lie within – aromas of cherries and strawberries compliment the flavours of plums and damsons, resulting in a well-balanced aftertaste lingering on the palate.

This wine is affectionately called ‘the wine of one night’
The wines from the German-speaking area of Italy, around Bolzano, fall under the D.O.C. regulations of Italy and the Qualitatswein Bestimmter Anbaugebiete (QBA) regulations of Germany, which give this region the strictest quality control in Italy. This region, bordered by Austria and Switzerland, has mountains covering 90% of it’s area and is classed as being on the sunny side of the Alps. The climate is not all what would be expected of an alpine region. The valley floor heats up quickly on summer mornings, sending warm air spiralling up the slopes. This coupled with bright Alpine sunshine results in rich, ripe fruit. This wine is affectionately called ‘the wine of one night’, because, once harvested, must and skins are left together one night long in order to extract a pale rose colour.
