A delightful wine a beautiful taste of peaches and cream
Wines made from the Riesling grape in Germany rarely exceed 11% alcohol (more often around 8-9%) but they are never short of flavour hence its nickname ‘Germany’s Sauvignon’. This Spätlese wine is produced from selected grapes, picked 10-14 days after the main harvest. These extra days ripening in the sunshine has concentrated the natural sugar levels and of the usually crisp Riesling grape, giving the Kreuznacher Kronenberg a delicate acidity, and a flavour that is both fruity and fresh which can be enjoyed at any time.

The Pieroth Blue Edition occupies a special role in the Heritage Line. The unique blue bottle reflects an interesting historical aspect of the Nahe – the home region of Pieroth. During times when the glass was formed locally, the bottles took on a bluish-green colour. This was due to the mineral element in the local sand – primarily Cobalt. This unusual glass colour gave the wine bottles of the Nahe region a differentiating feature even back then. Pieroth embraced the idea in 1976, commissioning a royal blue bottle that has become a classic and a symbol of Pieroth in many countries.
