The Languedoc wine region is France´s largest wine-growing region with a cultivated vineyard of almost 290,000 hectares. Languedoc is the northern part of the Languedoc-Roussillon area. Further northeast, the Rhône wine region joins. The area of Languedoc wine region includes the three departments of Aude, Gard and Hérault. The vineyards are usually close to the coastline in a length of almost 240 km. The climate is dry and hot in summer. Precipitation usually falls in the form of heavy showers. The Pieroth family shares the passion for wine with their passion of art. That´s what the Gerda & Kuno Pieroth Foundation stand for, which has been promoting artists and art in the Nahe region for many years. Pieroth Art connects wine and fine arts. The artistically designed labels interpret the origin of the wine in the style of Impressionism. The world of wine is as diverse as the world of art, each oeuvre has its own character. In the end, enjoyment is a matter of personal taste.
