This dry Cabernet Sauvignon is a deep dark ruby red, with an intense bouquet of aromas. The smell is heavy, with notes of blackcurrants, plums and oak smoke. Spicy aromas such as cinnamon, anise and laurel can be found. On the palate, the wine feels full-bodied and dense, with ripe fruit notes of blackcurrant, cassis, black cherry and dried figs. Spicy elements and a subtle chocolate note are also perceptible here. The wine is persistent, with ripe, firm and noble tannins. Its finish is long and convinces with its very discreet fruit sweetness and mineral structure.

About this wine from

Hajós-Baja, Hungary

The Pieroth family shares the passion for wine with their passion of art. That ́s what the Gerda & Kuno Pieroth Foundation stands for, which has been promoting artists and art for many years. “Pieroth Art” connects wine and fine arts. The artistically designed labels interpret the origin of the wine in the style of Impressionism. The world of wine is as diverse as the world of art, each “oeuvre” has its own character. In the end, enjoyment is a matter of personal taste. Hajos-Baja is a mid-sized wine region in southern Hungary, situated on the eastern side of the Danube river around the towns of Hajos and Baja. Hungary offers perfect growing conditions for the Cabernet Sauvignon grape variety, particularly for the late harvesting of it which is required for the production of this luscious red wine.
