About this wine from

Veneto, Italy

In the northern Italian regions of Friuli and Veneto, Pinot Grigio is one of the most important grape varieties. Here you will find especially calcareous soils due to the Dolomites. This gives the wine a mineral character. A grey veil covers the dark skin of this grape. The colour indication grigio (grey) is a note of a pigment variation, as there are lighter and darker berries.Initially still a trend, the Pinot Grigio delle Venezie has been a DOC since 2018 and thus an integral part of the wine cellars of the world.
