Due to its many lagoons and lush fauna, Veneto plays a key role as a resting point for the bird migration from Africa to Northern Europe.

The area is well known for some of Italy’s classic wines such as Amarone which perfected the winemaking process of appassimento (air drying of the grapes) and nearby Prosecco, a wine that personifies the easy carefree spirit of Italy. So this wine comes from an area of great diversity and heritage also where in 1876, the first Italian oenology school opened by decree of the Italian king, Vittorio Emanuele.

Veneto, Italy

The climate and soil of the area are ideal for achieving the best from these indigenous grape varieties which present aromas of wild flowers and citrus, paired with a subtle hint of herbs. On the palate fruit flavours of peach and apple are complimented by a well-balanced acidity which leaves a fresh aftertaste making this an ideal summer wine for aperitifs and antipasti.
